What forced errors do
Each forced square is marked with an "e". Overrides whole codewords so squares the code couldn't give you come out as drawn, and lets you draw on the hatched link squares. It spends error correction, leaving less margin for scratches, glare and blur. Lowering the error-correction level is usually the better trade.

SVG is the vector file for print and sign cutting: it scales to any size without blurring.
About saved designs
Load brings back the whole design; Place adds just its drawing as a layer you can move and resize on the current code. Saves the drawing with its link, grid size, error correction, forced errors and look, in this browser. A logo is saved as the squares it made.
