qrtuner

Terms of use

Version 1.7 · 23 October 2026 · The version in force when you pay applies to that purchase.

qrtuner is a web service run by Solution AV Automation Pty Ltd (ABN 28 608 458 591), Brisbane, Australia. You draw a design onto a QR code and the service works out a code that carries both your design and your link. These terms cover the free use of the page and the paid credits and plans.

1. Free use

Anyone can use the page without an account. A plain code, with nothing drawn on it, is free and real: it carries your link or payload itself, the same as an unlocked code (section 3), and it works for web links and for other payloads alike. Drawing on a code, even one square or a text or icon logo, makes it a test code until the link is unlocked with a credit or plan. A test code for a web link opens through qrtuner.com, shows a short page naming the destination, then forwards; it works for 14 days from the day it is made and depends on qrtuner.com being online. A drawn code for a payload that is not a web link (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, phone numbers, Lightning addresses) is shown as a look-only preview that does not work until unlocked. Clearing the drawing makes the code plain and free again. The service decides from the drawing it receives, not from the page.

2. Credits and plans

The prices below are for drawn codes. A plain code is free (section 1).

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST for buyers in Australia. Buyers outside Australia pay the same price with no GST (a GST-free export). Payment is taken by Stripe, which handles your card details; the service never sees them.

3. What an unlocked code is

An unlocked code carries your link itself, in the standard form a browser uses for it. Nothing is added, shortened or redirected, and scanning it never touches qrtuner.com. It will keep working if this service changes or closes. That is the point of paying for a drawn code: the code is yours and depends on nobody. A free plain code is the same kind of code, with nothing drawn on it.

4. Keys and plans are bearer items

A key is the proof of purchase. Anyone who holds it can spend its credits, so keep it as you would keep a voucher. The key is printed on your Stripe receipt; if you lose both, the credits cannot be recovered. A plan attaches to a domain, not to a person, so anyone who types that domain gets unlocked codes while the plan runs.

5. The Corporate API

A Corporate plan includes an API key (qrt_ followed by 32 characters) for making codes from your own software. It is shown at checkout, on the paid page and in the subscription's description, so it appears on your invoices. Each buyer of a domain's Corporate plan gets their own key, and every key for a domain works while the plan runs. The API is documented at qrtuner.com/api-docs.

6. Cancelling and refunds

7. Your responsibilities

8. What is yours and what is ours

Your designs and the codes made from them are yours. We claim nothing in them and do not keep your drawings. The service, its software and the qrtuner name and mark are ours. The service may be used through its own pages or, on a Corporate plan, through the API; any other automated or bulk use needs our written agreement.

9. The service

The service is provided as it is, without a service level agreement. We may change, suspend or close it, and we may change prices for future purchases. Unlocked codes already made are unaffected by any of that. Free use may be rate limited.

The service is not offered in China, the United States or Japan. The page, free use and purchases are refused to visitors from those countries, judged by their internet address; codes already made keep working everywhere.

The service can also be used through AI assistants that connect to it. Those connections arrive from the assistant provider's servers rather than from you, so the service relies on the country you state to the assistant, and previews are refused for people in China, the United States or Japan. Through an assistant the service can check a link, start a design and read one; it cannot buy anything or spend a credit. A code made this way is the same as on the page: a plain code is free and real; a drawn code is a test code or look-only preview with the same 14-day limit.

10. Your Australian Consumer Law rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under that law where doing so would be unlawful. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for it.

11. Liability

Subject to section 10 and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or revenue, or loss arising from where a code leads or how it is used, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top change when we do. The version in force when you pay applies to that purchase.

13. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of that State. Questions and cancellations: support@qrtuner.com.
